I'M BACK!!!! hahaha...

Just finish my exams... n this is what I did during my free time... Baking!!!!

this is for Dong and Joce's birthday party~

I super love the words I wrote =D I use the ready made sugar icing, very hard to pipe it as the sugar icing is so damn KERAS!!! This cake, I use cake mix, coz no time to bake frm scratch (exam period), in between, I add layers of blackberries. Taste quite nice lo.. but I still prefer the one my aunt made =D The whole cake is cover with chocolate flakes.. was suppose to make curls, but tak jadi.. hahaha.. and dont ask me why the berries is arranged in such weird way..

I kinda screwed up the chocolate spread, over boiled it... also, instead of using sour cream, I used whipped cream to mix with the melted chocolate... this tasted very chocolatey n very SWEET!!! too sweet...

I use sour cream for the chocolate spread, the slight sour taste is quite nice, compare to the previous one, which I think it's too sweet... But I still can't figure out why the cake will crack (suspect it's too dry), and the bottom layer looks very damp >.< But overall it taste quite OK.

Jeremy's birthday cake..

It's chocolate cheese cake with raisins and hazelnuts inside. Kinda fail tho, the base, the texture of the cake, didnt really look like the picture in the recipe... hahahaha... anyway, I'm still gonna make them eat this later... =P The piping is terrible compare to the previous one, the cream is too soft, very difficult to control it... u can see it's very ugly in the close up below.. hahaha...

Hahaha... but I enjoy every process of mixing, baking and DECORATING the cake =D =D =D

Anyway... that's all for now.. Another update, me, being a genius, sprained my ankle while walking... Geng leh... Hope it will recover asap... I wanna go out and play!!!!!

Greeting from Leeds~~~

It has been quite awhile since I last blog... At this very moment, I'm not breathing in the humid air of Malaysia but the 'refreshing' cold air of Leeds, UK. It has been a month since I got here. Adapting quite well. The weather here can be crazy at time...one moment you'll see the sun, the next minute, it looks like gonna rain. Autumn is gently taking over Spring. You can see falling leaves everywhere.. The trees are getting bold pretty soon...
In general, people here are friendly, except for a few *toot* ones. So far, I've only been mixing around with Asians, mainly Malaysian from MASSOC. Din really wanna go talk with the 'guai lou's yet.

This is University of Leeds, which is where I'm studying now...

Life here is kinda monotonous. The entertainment I enjoy the most is doing shopping, both clothes and grocery. Morrisons, the big 'M', is a evil place, I'll never leave there without buying stuff. But things here are generally cheap, that is if you dont convert into RM. The second evil place is the Market, where I alwiz bring back a pack of chocolate. 3rd goes to Primark, where you can get 1pound shirt and 5pounds pants. Sometimes it's so hard to resist the temptation to get your hands into those cheap cheap stuff!! Argh!!! And yesterday, I found another evil place, where I got 2 skirts for 9pounds. JY got her Diadora jacket for only 10pounds!!!

Hmm...what more to update..?? Cant think of any now...hahaha... I shall stop here then~ Will blog again, maybe in 'n' days later...

Life

People don't often get what they want in life. This is a fact. Why can't I understand and live with it? The unreachable object will always stays as the best one. Perhaps I should just let it be that way and move on with life? Sigh, I know I am very stubborn~ Also very emotional, especially when I'm alone in this four piece of walls. Damn, I hate weekends. Why am I so ungrateful, I have the whole room all to myself, my timetable is like what I've always wanted, but why I still don't feel happy?

To make thing worst, my lappie has 'passed away'... Great~

Ops, I abandoned my blog again~

Life haven change much, except for I'm staying alone in this twin sharing room, with my stuff occupied almost every inch of this room. At first, it was pretty tough, as I'm so used to stay with a roommate. But eventually, I got used to it. It's pretty cool actually, I only pay RM760 and get a room bigger than the single occupant room with 2 tables, 2 wardrobe, etc...hahaha...but more space kinda make me 'throw' my things everywhere. Messy messy messy~
Other than that, I hardly spend weekends in the hostel. Either I travel back home, or visit friends, or go on a trip with friends... which also means I used lotsa $$$. Tiring, but it was fun, all of it, need to enjoy life as much as possible before I leave for my further studies. Last weekend, I went back for Bak Chang and to meet my relatives who came back from overseas. The main point is, I get to eat my favorite Bak Chang, Yay!!! Hahaha...
Apart from that, I've been surrounded by lotsa unwanted NOISE! 1st is the renovation going on downstairs. Really annoying the NOISE, especially when the drilling starts at 8am!!! And the super noisy lorries and workers chit chatting. Hope the renovation ends soon, I have limited patience.
Anyway..I'm gonna enjoy my boring life for 4 boring days in my boring room, eating maggie mee. Hope my laptop do not give me a headache... the beeping sound is very annoying...

Home Sweet Home

Finally exams are over, no more facing notes and text books, no burning midnight oil, no more 3hours sleep daily, no more frustrated moments... I was very relieved when I finish my last paper last Friday. Even I didn't do well on some papers, well, who cares now~ hahaha... I'm back in Penang, at home, relaxing.. Last night, me and my family went out for dinner, and I get to decide where to go.. hehehe, very dai sai! The food was nice, very much better than those I had in Nilai. I miss Penang food!!!! The best part of being at home, I get to sleep till whenever I want, yea~

And my lil puppy Sugar is really very cute, at first she was rather nervous to see me, abit scared also, but after some times we spend together, she is become more and more lovable, really glad to have her in my family. She is very quite, not like those puppy that constantly barking here and there, she likes to come close to any of us, when we sit on the floor, she'll come by and lie beside you, very sweet~ And hor, she is very hao3 ming4, eat honey stars wan, this morning had fresh milk with wholemeal bread summore, really Geng ah! She is also very obedient, when I was doing some house chore this morning, she wont come to disturb or make things messy. She likes aircond alot! Since she is forbid to enter out rooms, she'll just lie down outside the door of our room enjoying the cold breeze...hahaha.. But one thing about that, I nearly kick/step on her when I came out of my room, still not getting used to her existence yet. Sometimes she'll also gimme a shock when suddenly, out of no where, something (her la) is touching my leg under the table/from behind me. Anyway, is good to have her around, is like having a baby sister, everyone likes to play with her... Hope that we'll have fun lar, as I'll be at home for about 2 weeks only.
